What we do

Structural services

Structural Inspections & Reports

A licensed PE on site, a written report for a buyer, an insurer, a lender or a building department, and a repair design when one is needed. Engineer letters for permits, damaged trusses, screen enclosures and hurricane damage.

Load-Bearing Wall Removal

We analyze your framing, design the beam and post details, and deliver stamped plans your contractor can build from and your jurisdiction will approve. Most load-bearing wall projects are turned around within 5 to 10 business days from site visit.

Additions, ADUs & New Construction

Every addition, second story, garage conversion, or new build needs a full structural package before a permit office will look at it. We handle the complete scope from site visit through approved permit, coordinated with your architect or designer.

Foundation Design & Repair

We design new foundations based on actual soil conditions and engineer repair solutions for foundations showing settlement, cracking, or failure. Our in-house geotechnical team can test your site first — so your foundation is built on real data, not assumptions.

Structural Calculations & Wind-Load Design

Stamped engineering calculations for beams, columns, connections, and load paths — delivered as a report your plan reviewer can approve on the spot. We also prepare structural assessments for existing buildings, renovation feasibility, and pre-purchase evaluations.

In Florida that includes wind-load calculations to ASCE 7-22, roof-to-wall and uplift connections, and the product approvals your inspector will ask for.

Retaining Walls & Code Compliance Review

We design retaining walls engineered for actual soil pressure, drainage, slope conditions, and surcharge loads — not guesswork. Every design includes full structural details, material specs, drainage provisions, and stamped calculations ready for permit.

We review your drawings against IBC, IRC, and local amendments before you submit — catching the issues that generate comments or rejection. We also prepare stamped code compliance reports for change of use, occupancy reclassification, and renovation projects.

Designed for Florida

Wind, water and the Florida Building Code

Florida buildings are designed for loads most of the country never sees. The current Florida Building Code, the 8th Edition (2023) in effect since December 31, 2023, references ASCE 7-22 for wind loads, with updated wind-speed maps, wind-borne debris regions and new criteria for elevated buildings. Every structural set we stamp in Florida is designed to that code and to your county's amendments.

What that means on your drawings:

  • Wind-load calculations and the load path from roof to foundation, including uplift connections and hold-downs.
  • Opening protection and product approvals for the wind-borne debris region where your project sits.
  • Foundations that match Florida's soils: stem walls, monolithic slabs, post-tensioned slabs and deep foundations where the geotechnical data calls for them.
  • Flood-zone construction and FEMA's substantial improvement rule, which your floodplain manager applies when repairs or improvements reach half of the building's market value.
  • Threshold-building requirements where a project rises above three stories or 50 feet, coordinated with the special inspector your building official requires.

We design with the approval process in mind from day one. Your plans are detailed, code-compliant and built to move through review, not sit in a queue collecting comments.
